There are long delays on the M60 this morning (May 3) as an entry slip road has been closed due to an 'overturned vehicle'. The entry slip road at junction 17 clockwise of the M60 off Bury New Road at Whitefield has been closed due to the accident.

Heavy congestion on the c/w from j13-14 with ac/w traffic slow through j18 onto the M62 w/b from j19. "Extra traffic not able to access the M60 means the A56 Bury New Rd is slow heading s/b from Whitefield into Prestwich." Traffic website INRIX says: "M60 clockwise entry slip road closed, queueing traffic due to accident at J17 A56 Bury New Road (Prestwich / Whitefield).
Congestion to J13 (Worsley). Slow traffic on the anti-clockwise side as onlookers slow to look at the incident. Travel time is around 25 minutes." For more of today's top stories click here.
