BREAKING: Multiple police scenes in place after 'horrific' attacks - latest updates

Multiple police scenes are in place in Hulme today following two 'horrific' attacks. Both attacks happened in the area last night (Wednesday), police said.

The first happened on Avenham Close at around 7.35pm. A 19-year-old male was taken to hospital from the scene with serious injuries.

The second attack happened on Salutation Street at around 7.40pm. READ MORE: Join the FREE Manchester Evening News WhatsApp community A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital from the scene.

A 14-year-old was arrested in relation to both incidents, police said. He remains in custody for questioning. Police said multiple cordons remain in place in the area today, with one on Avenham Close.
