West Ham handed extra blow ahead of Manchester United clash as statement released

West Ham United will be without star player Mohammed Kudus for the Premier League clash against Manchester United at the weekend.

However, they could potentially face being without him for longer if the FA releases a statement on the incident against Tottenham. The 24-year-old was shown a straight red card in the closing stages of West Ham’s 4-1 loss against Tottenham on Saturday after a VAR review. Footage showed him raising his hands towards the face of his opponents on two occasions during a scuffle between the players at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The red card for violent conduct means that Kudus faces an automatic three-game ban, starting against United on Sunday. However, the FA have confirmed that they have now charged the player, meaning he could face an extended suspension if found guilty.
