LIVE: Busy road closed off by police after serious incident - latest updates

A busy road in Stockport has been closed off both ways this morning due to a police incident. Reddish Road is currently shut between Abingdon Road and Southcliffe Road, according to traffic alert service Inrix.

Police are on the scene. There are reports that a person has been knocked down by a vehicle, though this has not yet been confirmed.
