Ross Wilson's hidden Rangers impact as ally provides peek behind the curtain after 'right' Nottingham Forest call

Ross Wilson's time at Rangers looked to be coming to a natural conclusion - but a former colleague insists flak for transfers also comes with credit in the bank behind the scenes.

The 39-year-old has left Ibrox for Nottingham Forest off the back of criticism from fans, who have launched protests against him this year.

Wilson arrived in Glasgow during 2019 and twice broke their record for a transfer fee received with the sales of Nathan Patterson and Calvin Bassey, while he has overseen the development of the Rangers Training Centre.

But fan ire was hard to ignore and Stephen McGinn- the Falkirk captain who worked with the 39-year-old during his role as Football Business Director - insists that it's a good fit for all.
