The Premier League season is coming to an end this weekend and Manchester United still have a chance to secure European football for the 2024/25 campaign.
A 3-2 win against Newcastle United on Wednesday night moved them level on points with the seventh-placed Magpies. United are also just three points off Chelsea in sixth but do have a significantly worse goal difference.
However, if they can better Newcastle’s result in the final game then a seventh-placed finish would see them play in the Europa Conference League. They may be able to upgrade that to a place in the Europa League if they beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final next weekend.
