Amad has made only a handful of appearances for United's first team since his transfer from Italian side Atalanta in 2021. He spent the second half of last season out on loan at Scottish giants Rangers but failed to impress.
He has spent this season at Sunderland in the Championship after the Black Cats won promotion from League One last term. He has found the back of the net 12 times in 39 games for Sunderland, who are in the running to sneak into the play-offs ahead of the final day of the regular Championship season.
