A cordon is in place around a number of houses on the road, which remains open. Witnesses have told the Manchester Evening News a person has been stabbed, however this has not been officially confirmed by the authorities as of yet.

There seems to be at least one house within a cordon and there's at least seven police cars and vans here." The cordon is in the middle of an area which is currently under extra police powers.
