Proud Barry Robson dedicated Aberdeen’s European return to the Red Army. The Dons sealed third spot with their win over St Mirren at Pittodrie, and it could potentially bring guaranteed European group stage football if Celtic beat Inverness Caley Thistle in the Scottish Cup final.
Robson stated: “Most importantly is the fans in Europe. Over the last three months they have been brilliant - I haven't heard Pittodrie like this for a long time.
When you work as hard as the players have done, it's what the Aberdeen fans want and the players have brought it to them.” It was also just reward for the Aberdeen board who handed Robson the job on a full-time basis going into the top six.
He joked: “They took their time, didn't they? The chairman and Stewart and Stephen Gunn, I have known them a long time. These people live for the club.
