Ester Sokler on brink of Aberdeen transfer as fee and personal terms agreed for Slovenia U21 striker
Aberdeen have agreed a six-figure fee with NK Radomlje to sign striker Ester Sokler. The former Slovenian Under-21 international has also agreed terms and the move is now subject to a work permit being issued.
The Dons are now in the process of applying for the necessary paperwork to complete the move. The 24-year-old is set to become Barry Robson’s second signing of the summer, after the recent capture of Nicky Devlin from Livingston.
Radomlje agreed to the fee after their forward told him he wanted to join Aberdeen, where he will play European football. Sokler will remain in Slovenia until he is given the green light to travel to Scotland to complete his move.
He will provide another option from Duk and Bojan Miovski and he isn’t being brought in as a replacement for either as Robson looks to boost his options.
