Gabby McGill put Airdrie on the cusp of an incredible 90 goals for the season to secure a Championship play-off final with Hamilton Accies - and then cried: 'Bring it on'.
The Diamonds striker banged in his 12th goal in his last 11 appearances in Saturday's 1-0 semi-final second leg win over Falkirk to wrap up a thumping 7-2 aggregate win in the tie.
All focus now turns to clashes with Accies on Wednesday night and Saturday evening, as free-scoring Airdrie seek to reach the second tier next season.
And McGill says the Diamonds are flying going into the first leg at New Broomfield. “Calum Gallagher told me after the game that was our 89th goal scored this season, which is absolutely incredible," said the 22-year-old. “There’s no wonder - Gall has scored all his goals, I’ve chipped in and Callum Smith has had chances and scored. “It’s a brilliant style of football to play in if you’re a striker, and that’s what we’ll try to do on Wednesday. “Everyone’s full of confidence and we’ll take that into this week.
