Hamilton Accies youngster Gabe Forsyth is close to agreeing a big move to Norwich City, according to a report. The 16-year-old is highly rated by the New Douglas Park side and, according to Football Insider, the English Championship side are set to swoop as Accies prepare for next season in League One, following their relegation from the Championship last weekend.

The youngster has progressed through the ranks of the club's youth academy and Accies will be due a development fee should he head down south.

He is currently under contract at Accies until 2026. Forsyth, who is currently away with Accies' under-17s at in France at the Esmgo Tournament, has made five first team appearances this term. Lanarkshire Live Sport understands there is interest from Norwich but Accies won't part with the player unless they receive an acceptable offer from the Canaries.

Forsyth is one of many young players attracting interest and it is expected the club will sell a number of their academy stars over the summer. Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
