Former Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister is one of six Liverpool legends who will travel to the Far East with Jurgen Klopp’s squad for the English giants pre-season trip to Singapore.

The Merseyside giants have announced that McAllister will take part in a series of events planned during the trip which forms part of the Singapore Festival of Football.

Klopp takes his Reds squad out next month and they will defend their Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy against Leicester City at the National Stadium on July 30.

They then face German giants Bayern Munich on August 2. McAllister has been out of work since Gerrard was sacked by Aston Villa with the former Scotland captain following his old Anfield team-mate to the Midlands from Ibrox after playing a key role in helping Rangers win the Scottish Premiership title in 2020/21.
