Mohamed Salah transfixed Anfield Stadium with a magical display against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Liverpool star was simply sublime as his team ran out 1-0 winners against the reigning champions and got the wheels turning in the right direction again after a shaky start to the season.
His 76th minute goal proved the difference – a deft flick over Ederson after a fabulous little turn on the halfway line got him past City’s last defender Cancelo.
And whilst the gravity of Salah's goal was enormous for the bigger picture at the club, it has significance on a personal level, too.
That's because the strike moves the Egyptian King above Steven Gerrard in the list of Liverpool's all-time Premier League scorers.
It was his 121st strike for the club meaning he has now surpassed Gerrard (120) to take second place.
Just Fowler, the Scouser fondly dubbed 'God' by the Kop, stands over him with 128 Premier League goals.
Now, should Salah keep scoring at his current rate of knots, it goes without saying that he will surpass Fowler's record this season, should he stay fit.
And that really begins to beg the question: Just where does Salah rank amongst Liverpool's greatest forwards of all-time?
His goalscoring record, taking into account games played, is second to none. Meanwhile he's also been talismanic in one of the greatest periods in the club's history.
So, to put it plainly, Salah will fare very well indeed.
