Mohamed Salah transfixed Anfield Stadium with a magical display against Manchester City on Sunday. The Liverpool star was simply sublime as his team ran out 1-0 winners against the reigning champions and got the wheels turning in the right direction again after a shaky start to the season.
His 76th minute goal proved the difference – a deft flick over Ederson after a fabulous little turn on the halfway line got him past City’s last defender Cancelo.
And whilst the gravity of Salah's goal was enormous for the bigger picture at the club, it has significance on a personal level, too.
That's because the strike moves the Egyptian King above Steven Gerrard in the list of Liverpool's all-time Premier League scorers.
