Mohamed Salah was the hero as Liverpool beat Manchester City 1-0 at Anfield on Sunday. The Egyptian latched onto Alisson’s long kick to score past Ederson and give Jurgen Klopp’s side a huge three points following their slow start to the campaign.
Moments earlier, Salah had missed a very similar situation as he went through on goal and saw his effort tipped wide by the Brazilian goalkeeper – although a goal kick was given.
But he made no mistake the second time of asking. Kevin De Bruyne's lofted free-kick was easily gathered by Alisson. The Liverpool goalkeeper had no intention of slowing down play and immediately looked to Salah who was up against Joao Cancelo on the halfway line.
The ping from Alisson was perfect, Salah's spin and touch were even better. His finish was unerring. World class. But now, an even better angle of Salah's goal has emerged - and shows it was even better than we all first thought.
