India's Plan To Tackle Bangladesh's 6'5 Tall Pacer Nahid Rana - Report Reveals...

The Indian teams over the years have depended a lot on match simulations and Gautam Gambhir's outfit is no different, selecting net bowlers with specific skill-sets who can help the batters get ready for the Bangladesh series starting here from September 19. One of the pacers called up for the four-day camp here is Punjab's Gurnoor Brar, who has so far played five first-class matches and he was also with Punjab Kings during the IPL last season. While his first-class record isn't flattering, what worked for the 24-year-old is his tall 6 feet 4.5 inch frame and the disconcerting bounce that he can generate with more than skiddy pace. It is understood that Gurnoor has been drafted in specifically to get some simulation for the high-arm action of Bangladesh pacer Nahid Rana, who had a match-haul of five wickets against Pakistan in a recent Test match at Rawalpindi.

"No Way Gautam ambhir Was Going To...": Explosive Details Behind Abhishek Nayar's Sacking Out

Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir did not protest to the sacking of assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, according to a report by Hindustan Times. Gambhir appointed Nayar as part of his support staff right after becoming the head coach and they share a long partnership from the time they worked together with Kolkata Knight Riders. According to the report, when BCCI decided to 'trim' Gambhir's coaching staff following the poor show in the Test series against Australia, he did not oppose to the idea. It added that Gambhir was more concerned with keeping bowling coach Morne Morkel and the other assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate - both of them were his own recommendations.

Big Problem For India vs New Zealand In CT 2025, Mohammed Shami May Sit Out Because "During The Pakistan Game..."

The presence of five left-handed batters in the New Zealand line-up and the slight calf trouble faced by Mohammed Shami during the Pakistan game may force the Indian team management to play left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh in the Sunday's Champions Trophy game. If the Friday's practice session was an indication, then the Punjab pacer in all likelihood will replace Shami, who has recently returned to the national fold following a long injury lay-off.

Rohit Sharma Skips Net Practice Ahead Of New Zealand Match. Report Provides Worrying Update

Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma was the only frontline batter to not go into the nets during a practice session on Wednesday ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025 match against New Zealand, according to a report by Times Of India. Following the win over Pakistan, Indian players trained for the first time at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Academy and although all players warmed up by playing football and running laps, Rohit did not take part in any strenuous physical activity. The report claimed that he "jogged gently under the watch of Strength & Conditioning coach Soham Desai" but was not moving freely. He suffered a hamstring injury during the game against Pakistan but during the post-match presentation, he said that he was doing fine and there was no cause for any worry.

India Receive Massive Boost Ahead Of Champions Trophy 2025 Semifinals

India's bowling coach Morne Morkel has rejoined the team after attending to a personal emergency back home and was part of the squad's training session on Wednesday. Virat Kohli Spends Extra Time With Spinners Ahead Of Champions Trophy Semi-Finals

The Indian cricket team had a strenuous training session on Wednesday with talismanic batter Virat Kohli spending a lot of time facing spinners even as bowling coach Morne Morkel rejoined the side after attending to a personal emergency back home. Virat not only faced the likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja during the training session but also spent more than half an hour plying the net bowlers ahead of the clash against New Zealand on Sunday. Pace bowling stalwart Mohammed Shami too was seen bowling at full tilt, swinging the ball both ways and rapping Kohli twice on his pads, while Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh too looked determined to give their best during the session.
