Feyenoord have reportedly turned down Rangers latest bid to land Danilo as general manager Dennis te Kloese insisted the Brazilian remains key for the Dutch champions. Record Sport understands an offer of £5.2million with potential add-ons has been lodged with Feyenoord holding out for a fee closer to the £6m mark.
It is understood that the 24-year-old has told the club he wants to make the move to the Scottish Premiership this summer and spearhead Michael Beale’s new look side in their bid to dethrone Celtic and push for the Champions League group stage.
However, the forward appears unlikely to get his wish at this stage as Dutch outlet AD say the latest offer from Rangers has been knocked back.
And Te Kloese attempted to shut the door on a move as he delivered an emphatic statement on the future of the frontman - insisting that he remained a key player for Arne Slot's side going forward.
