Manchester United have already 'earmarked' Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson as a candidate to become their long-term striker.
That is according to a report by Sky Sports, who claim that United, who will wrap up a Champions League berth if they avoid defeat to Chelsea on Thursday night, have already 'laid the groundwork' to try and sign the Republic of Ireland international.
The Reds are going to prioritise the signing of a new striker this forthcoming summer and Harry Kane has been identified as their top target.
United, despite being on the cusp of securing a top four finish, have struggled to score goals on a regular basis this season and are in desperate need of adding firepower to their ranks.
