Manchester City are said to have asked Paris Saint-Germain about the possibility of landing Marco Verratti this summer. The Blues are bracing for midfield exits this summer with both Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan linked with moves away.

And so Pep Guardiola is thought to be assessing his potential market options with the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Jude Bellingham touted as supposed targets.

Now, Le Parisien reports that the Premier League champions have made contact with PSG over Verratti. The French giants are said to be open to allowing the 30-year-old Italian leave after 11 seasons with the club. The player himself is thought to be open to leaving the French capital. Guardiola is drawing up a list of potential summer targets and Verratti - who has just one assist and no goals in 38 outings - has apparently made the list.
