A murder investigation has been launched in Salford tonight after a man was killed. Seedley Road in Pendleton is cordoned off, with police cars currently at the scene.

GMP have tonight said a murder probe has been launched. A spokesman said: Officers received a call at approximately 4pm to reports of an ongoing disturbance on Seedley Road in Salford this evening, Friday 5 May 2023. "On attendance, a man was found injured and was taken to hospital via colleagues with NWAS.

He was sadly pronounced deceased at 5.10pm. "A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning as investigations into the incident continue.
