Dozens of flood alerts issued across Wales as rain continues to pour - live updates

A weather warning for heavy rain is in place across much of Wales on Tuesday as downpours cause issues across the country. A landslide has been reported on the A5 in north Wales and there have been a number of accidents on the roads this morning.One flood warning has been issued for River Dulais at College Campus and Sandy Road in Pwll, Carmarthen.

According to Natural Resources Wales, river levels in the river Dulais at Pwll are expected to rise until at least 9.30am on Tuesday.The warning issued by NRW, urges people to put flood protection and equipment in place, move family, pets and those who are vulnerable to a safe place and turn off energy and water supplies if safe to do so.

Heavy traffic is reported on the M4 at the same time that a crash has closed a main Newport city centre road. Traffic monitoring service Inrix reports that the A4042 is closed in both directions in Newport centre, with queueing traffic due to accident from A4042 (Grove Park Roundabout) to the A4051. Travel time is 20 minutes.
An accident is causing major delays on the M4 around Newport on Thursday morning.
There is heavy traffic on the M4 westbound after an accident between J34 A4119 (Miskin) and J35 A473 (Pencoed). All lanes are now re-open after the incident but travel time is currently 20 minutes.
