It all started on a glorious day in the east end of Glasgow against Aberdeen. And, almost 10 months later, the sun will again be splitting the skies as the Dons once again provide the opposition as the Hoops achieve their goal for the season.
Stephen Welsh and Jota were on target in a 2-0 win to get Ange Postecoglou's men up off and running in their Scottish Premiership title defence back on July 31.
There was even a full stadium tifo and it will be the same again as Celtic skipper Callum McGregor and his team-mates are presented with the 2022/23 trophy.
So it will be a familiar feel around Parkhead - not least because it's Celtic once again lifting that trophy. Aberdeen probably couldn't have predicted how much of a roller-coaster their season would have been back on that opening day.
