Brighton ace Danny Welbeck vows to 'put things right' against Manchester United after FA Cup exit

Brighton & Hove Albion striker Danny Welbeck has insisted the Seagulls will "try to put things right" against Manchester United after losing to the Reds in the FA Cup semi-final.

Erik ten Hag's side won 7-6 on penalties at Wembley last month, with all seven penalty-takers scoring for the Reds in the shootout.

Victor Lindelof bagged the winning penalty after Brighton ace Solly March saw his spot-kick fly high over David de Gea's crossbar.

United progressed to the final, where they will face rivals Manchester City on June 3. Brighton, meanwhile, are now solely focused on trying to secure European football for next season and will be desperate to get revenge on the Reds when the two sides meet at the Amex in the Premier League on Thursday night.
