Woman jailed after XL Bully left boy, 12, with 'serious injuries' in vicious attack

An Oldham woman has been jailed after her XL Bully viciously mauled a 12-year-old boy, leaving him with 'serious injuries'.

Paula Jenkins' dog attacked the boy, who was later rushed to hospital, on Villa Road in Oldham on October 22. A 31-year-old woman was also attacked and treated for her injuries following the incident.

At a hearing at Minshull Street Crown Court on Friday (January 12), Jenkins, 43, was handed a 16-month jail sentence after pleading guilty to two counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury. The court also ordered the destruction of the XL Bully, and barred Jenkins from owning a dog for five years.
