Boy robbed of coat and AirPods after being threatened with knife near tram stop

Police have issued a CCTV appeal after a boy was threatened with a knife and robbed of his coat and AirPods in a terrifying attack near a tram stop in Oldham.

Three boys - aged between 16 and 17 - are believed to be the suspects in the robbery near Failsworth tram stop on December 27 last year. Police said the victim, a 17-year-old boy, and his friend were targeted by the group.

The boy was 'forcibly pushed' to the ground 'in a threatening manner' by two of the suspects. They threatened him with a knife before stealing his Apple AirPods and his coat, officers added.

The other suspect chased the friend. All three suspects were seen getting off the tram at Failsworth Metrolink stop just before the robbery - which happened at around 10pm .

Police believe the three young males pictured 'may have further information about the incident'. Anyone who recognises them is being urged to contact officers.
