Manchester United expect youth exits before deadline day
Manchester United are expecting a number of young players to leave the club before the transfer deadline.
It has been a busy window for United at youth level, and that is set to continue with further loans and permanent sales possible in the closing days.
The Manchester Evening News understands Teden Mengi and Charlie McNeill are among those most likely to leave the club before the weekend, with both players subject to loan interest.
Mengi received a loan offer from French side Amiens earlier this month, while Premier League newboys Luton have also revived their interest after initially shortlisting him at the start of the summer.

Teenage forward McNeill is hoping to leave the club on loan this week, with EFL clubs showing an interest in him. The 19-year-old had League One offers in January but opted to sign for League Two side Newport instead after being given assurances about his playing time.
That will once again be the driving factor in his next loan departure, with sources close to the player reiterating that he would benefit enormously from playing regular football at this stage of his career.
Hannibal Mejbri is another player attracting interest in the final days of the window, though there are currently no guarantees he will leave. The 20-year-old has been the subject of loan inquiries, but that will depend on other comings and goings.
It is a similar situation with teenage right-back Marc Jurado. United are not actively looking to get rid of him, but they could sanction his exit if an appropriate offer comes in.
