Fans 'can't wait' as Netflix announces David Fincher's psychological thriller return with The Killer

Netflix has announced that iconic filmmaker David Fincher is returning with his first psychological thriller in a decade.

The Gone Girl and Zodiac director is returning to the genre that made him a household name, with new release The Killer. It stars Michael Fassbender as an assassin who battles his employers - and himself - during an international manhunt.

In the nailing-biting teaser trailer, which you can watch below, The Killer reminds himself to 'stick to the plan' as he moves between jobs, running from one death to the next. The film's concept is drawn from writer Alexis “Matz” Nolent and artist Luc Jacamon’s 1998 graphic novel.
