LIVE: Trams STOPPED following 'police incident' at Metrolink station - latest updates
Commuters are facing major disruption to trams this morning following a 'police incident'.
Emergency services have been called out to Crumpsall station in north Manchester this morning (March 24).
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) said services were stopped on the Bury line while officers respond to the incident.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed it was responding to concerns for a man's welfare.
The incident has since been safely resolved, but there are 'severe delays' to Metrolink services following the earlier line closure.
A TfGM spokesperson said: "Due to a an earlier police incident at Crumpsall, the Bury line is back operating however with severe delays.
"There is ticket acceptance on the following bus services: 17, 18, 41, 52, 53, 59, 81, 90, 94, 95, 97, 98, 112, 117, 118, 119, 135, 156, 163, 524.
"Simply show the driver your Metrolink ticket or pass when boarding."
An update on the Inrix traffic monitoring service added: "Severe delays on the Bury line on Manchester Metrolink due to earlier emergency services dealing with an incident at Crumpsall."

Delays have now eased on the Bury line following this morning's closure.
GMP has confirmed the incident has been resolved safely.
Crumpsall Lane has also fully reopened.
Services are now running again with delays.
The Bury line has now resumed operating however with severe delays.
Ticket acceptance is still in place as services reform along the line.
