LIVE: Police cordon off street with 'blood in the road' after incident - latest updates

Police have cordoned off a street in Tameside this evening (Wednesday, April 2) following a serious incident, with blood seen in the road, according to witnesses.

Emergency services, including forensics in white suits, are in attendance on Yew Tree Road in Denton. A cordon is in place with multiple police vehicles at the scene.

Police were called to the scene earlier this afternoon and taped off the residential street. Locals have said officers have informed them they cannot leave their homes amid ongoing investigations.

Forensics in white suits have also been seen taking pictures of the scene and conducting enquiries alongside detectives.
