LIVE: Tram line blocked as police respond to crash - latest updates
Police are responding to a crash on the Metrolink line in Tameside this morning.
Multiple police vehicles are on the scene near the Snipe retail park in Ashton-under-Lyne. Pictures appear to show a crashed car on the tram line.
According to Bee Network travel alerts, no trams are currently running between Ashton and Clayton Hall. Tickets are being accepted on buses.

"Due to a road traffic incident in the Ashton Moss area, there are no services operating between Ashton-Under-Lyne and Clayton Hall", the Bee Network travel alert said. "Tickets and passes are being accepted on the 7, 216, 219, 230 and 231 bus services. Metrolink would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused."
Stagecoach said in a tweet: "**Metrolink Ticket Acceptance**. Due to a Police incident on the Ashton Line, we're currently accepting Metrolink Tickets on 7, 216, 230 and 231 services only."
Greater Manchester Police and Metrolink have been contacted for further details.
