LIVE: Police close Rochdale street after incident as woman is rushed to hospital - latest updates
Police have closed Falinge Road in Rochdale following an incident this afternoon.
A helicopter was also called to the area. The helicopter circled above the Syke and Falinge areas of the town.
Part of Howard Street is also closed. Earlier reports suggested part of nearby Red Lane was similar blocked by police officers.

Pictures from the scene show a road closure near the roundabout which links Falinge Road with Sheriff Street, outside the gates of Falinge Park.
The MEN has reached out to GMP for comment.
A spokesperson for GMP has confirmed officers were called to a crash between a car and pedestrian on Falinge Road in Rochdale and a woman has been taken to hospital.
Investigations are being carried out by officers from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU). No further details have been given on the incident.
