Lioness Jill Scott teases 'bigger and better' plans for popular Northenden café

Lioness star Jill Scott has teased she is planning to give her popular Northenden café a revamp - amid speculation a relocation to new premises could soon be on the cards.

The former Manchester City player, who also won I'm a Celebrity in 2022, has run the Boxx2Boxx coffee shop on Palatine Road with partner Shelly Unitt since 2021. The venue serves a range of coffees and freshly made cakes and also hosts a variety of events, including board game nights and sticker swap clubs.

This week, Jill and Shelly said that that something ‘bigger and better’ is now in the works. In one clip posted on Instagram, Jill asks: “So, Shelly, I've been hearing a rumour that something is about to change with Boxx2Boxx coffee shop. Can you confirm this?"

In response, Shelly simply said “that is correct” and teased that more would be revealed on social media soon. In another video, Jill said: “So, we're going to be improving the Boxx2Boxx coffee experience by making it bigger and better, am I right?" She then added: "Boxx2Boxx is going bigger and better - this isn't a scam."

The teasers have left fans of the coffee shop wondering what is going to be revealed - with some suggesting that a relocation could be on the cards. In response to the social media clip, one follower posted: “Got to be another store or moving to a bigger place.” Another asked: “A new, bigger coffee shop in Northenden?”

Another person posted: “Brill, food & drinks are great, but a bigger shop would be great.” One more said: “I bet my money it’s moving to Trafford or Arndale or another store in Wembley.”
