LIVE: Office smashed and covered in red paint as police launch investigation - latest updates
A Manchester office block has been targeted for the second time in five weeks - with windows smashed and red paint covering the building.
Police have launched a criminal damage investigation this morning (April 14) after The Observatory, on Chapel Walks, was targeted.
The building is home to Manchester's base for the Aviva insurance company. Officers are currently at the scene.
A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers are investigating following reports of criminal damage to a premises on Chapel Walks, Manchester.
"Enquiries are currently ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police."
The offenders are yet to come forward following this morning's incident.
However, the same building was targeted by pro-Palestine protesters back on March 11.
Other offices in Manchester have previously been daubed with red paint by pro-Palestine protesters, in similar scenes to this morning's attack on The Observatory.
An Aviva spokesperson added: "We have had some disruption at our Manchester office this morning (Monday, April 14). Our first priority is to ensure the safety of our people.
"We will not tolerate any criminal behaviour towards our people or property and will take appropriate legal action. This has not impacted our service to customers."
