LIVE court updates as more suspects appear over Greater Manchester disorder

More suspects are due up in court today (Thursday) in connection with disorder in Greater Manchester last weekend.

Five suspects are due to appear before a judge at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court after violent scenes erupted in Manchester city centre and in Bolton last Saturday and Sunday. Disorder broke out at an 'Enough is Enough' protest in Piccadilly Gardens, while missiles were thrown at police outside Bolton town hall as demonstrators and counter-protesters clashed.

Greater Manchester Police said seven more arrests were made overnight, with all suspects wanted over the incidents last weekend. The force said officers will 'not be complacent' following a largely peaceful evening last night, despite the threat of more than 100 planned protests across the UK.
