BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks reveals post-show struggle as Sam Thompson mocks move

Sam Thompson was left having a giggle at Pete Wicks' expense as they pair head their first Christmas party for the team who work on their podcast, Staying Relevant.

The duo, who are famed for their reality TV appearances which started with Made in Chelsea and The Only Way is Essex, joined forced to launch their own podcast in 2022, with the name a tongue-in-cheek nod to their efforts to remain in the public eye after leaving the shows that catapulted them to fame.

Following Sam's winning I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here stint last year, during which Pete joined him in Australia, they launched a national tour as they took their podcast to venues across the country, including the iconic London Palladium.

And as the podcast goes from strength to strength, Sam and Pete decided to treat themselves and those who work on the show to a festive night out.

Taking to Instagram, Sam shared a picture of the group posing for a mirror selfie, all sporting black outfits, and said: "Our first @stayingrelevantpodcast Christmas part," alongside a face holding back tears emoji and a red heart. He added: "So proud of what's being built."

But it didn't take him too long to share an update in which he was seen laughing at his best mate while they were in a car. In the video, Pete could be seen sitting in the front passenger seat and Sam pointed out that he appeared to be sitting rather straight. "Why you so upright?" Sam asked, to which Pete moaned: "I've got a bad back!"

As Sam continued to laugh and poke fun, Pete added: "I've been dancing for three and a half months, mate!" Sam then captioned the video:
