BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell issues two-word message as Chris McCausland admits major change

Dianne Buswell has sent a simple two-word message to Chris McCausland as he was heard talking about one of the things Strictly Come Dancing has helped transform about himself.

As fans of the hit dance show know, the comedian and his professional dance partner were crowned the winners of Strictly's 2024 final following a glittering grand final last Saturday night (December 14).

They beat fellow finalists Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley to lift the coveted Glitterball trophy, which Chris described in the aftermath as "astonishing".

After Tess Daly announced them as this year's winners, Chris, who is Strictly's first-ever blind contestant and winner, cried and hugged his partner Dianne, with them both appearing to be in disbelief, before they were celebrated by their co-stars.

Now, Chris has revealed one of the ways in which Strictly has changed his thinking. Speaking on the BBC's Access All podcast with host Emma Tracey, he said: "It's changed the way I think about posture because I never thought about posture.

"Posture was just something that was an unconscious part of the way I carried myself and it was just something that was subconsciously learned over many years of learning forward to see computers when I was losing my eyesight and see the TV and walking down streets worried that you're going to get a branch in the head and things like that."
