All the thugs who have pleaded guilty so far amid violent disorder in Greater Manchester

A 16-year-old boy found with a cricket and baseball bat, a man who live-streamed an asylum seeker hotel 'to stir up racial hatred' and a teenager who damaged police cars while wearing a pink balaclava.

These are just some of the males who have appeared before the courts this week after scenes of violent disorder in Greater Manchester. Disorder broke out at an 'Enough is Enough' protest in Piccadilly Gardens last Saturday (August 3), while missiles were thrown at police outside Bolton town hall on Sunday as demonstrators and counter-protesters clashed.

A protest in Newton Heath also erupted into scenes of violence on July 31, with a man dragged off a bus and rocks and bottles pelted at riot police. Police vowed that all those involved will 'face the full force of the law'.

This week, charges have been brought against some suspects with a number of males appearing at Manchester Magistrates' Court. Some pleaded not guilty to their crimes.

But all of the men below admitted their crimes in connection with the disorder, with some sentenced immediately. Most of those who have to wait to learn their fate were remanded into custody,

Gareth Rigby, 43, of Masefield Drive in Bolton, was fined after he admitted a single charge of using threatening words or behaviour. Prosecutor Mr Cooper told the court that the defendant was stopped by the police in Bolton at around 2.30pm on Sunday because they suspected he had ‘substances’ on him.
