Aberdeen FC transfer news bulletin as three more deals on the agenda and Mattie Pollock latest delivered
Barry Robson’s full focus might be on their Europa League playoff with BK Hacken – but his recruitment team are still working on deals ahead of the deadline.
Chairman Dave Cormack has already confirmed there could be one or possibly two more deals before the window closes on Friday. Aberdeen have already been one of the most active teams in this window with 12 signings so far. Another midfielder remains their main objective – to replace Ylber Ramadani who left for Lecce earlier this month.
The Dons are set to bank major money from their group stage football – whether that is in the Europa League or Conference. They will know where they play after Thursday's Pittodrie clash with BK Hacken - with the game tied at 2-2 after the first-leg in Gothenburg. The Aberdeen board have already backed Robson with some significant transfers in this window and are prepared to go again for the right midfielder.
English and European options are being worked on as the Dons look to move away from an over reliance on loan players. Another wide option or defender is also under consideration.
There could also be exits before the close of the window with interest in former captain Anthony Stewart from clubs in both Scotland and England. There has been talk of a misty-eyed return for Mattie Pollock on-loan from Watford but that is not an active option.
