Rangers transfer news bulletin as Harry Souttar timeline 'set' while Nnamdi Ofoborh breaks exit silence

Gutted Nnamdi Ofoborh has spoken for the first time since leaving Rangers after he ended a frustrating spell at Ibrox.

The midfielder arrived during the reign of Steven Gerrard alongside Jack Simpson, with both players signed from Bournemouth but the luckless midfielder did not manage a first-team appearance after a heart issue was discovered following his move to the Scottish Premiership. But after bringing the curtain down on his time at Ibrox Ofoborh has spoken for the first time in an emotional Instagram post. It read: "To my Rangers family, coaches, staff, teammates and fans, I thank you for your support over the past two years. I will never forget my time up there, an experience that will stay with me forever. I also apologise as I wasn't able to help in the ways that I wanted to and that hurt me the most. All the best this season @rangersfc. You'll always have me as a supporter."

In terms of incomings, The Athletic maintain that a loan move to Rangers for Leicester City star Harry Souttar could be on the cards. It is noted that alongside Victor Kristiansen and Luke Thomas - who are not part of Enzo Maresca's first-team plans - will be allowed to leave.
