East Kilbride boss Mick Kennedy challenges side to stay on course for league title

East Kilbride have soared to the summit of the Lowland League and boss Mick Kennedy has challenged his side to stay there.

A 2-1 win over Celtic B last midweek and a 4-2 victory over Cowdenbeath on Saturday has Kilby two points clear of Hearts B at the top of the fifth tier, with a game in hand.

But this weekend they travel to an Edinburgh University side who have often proved a thorn in their side.

The Students lost their last meeting with EK 6-1 last term, but they won two of the previous three encounters, drawing the other one.

“I’m sure that will give them a bit of confidence and belief.

“On paper, it is a game people expect us to win but what we are seeing already is that it doesn’t always pan out that way.

“We need to make sure we turn up with the right attitude and desire to make sure we get another three points.”

With Kilby the only unbeaten side in the division now, Kennedy’s men
