Transfer deadline aftermath LIVE as Celtic and Rangers plus Aberdeen FC, Hearts and Hibs finalise squads

It's been and gone for another year but the transfer chatter isn't quite done yet.

The summer window has slammed shut and it brought plenty of dramatic moments for Scottish clubs, with squad finalising now in order. Brendan Rodgers has already started looking to January after his first summer back at Celtic.

He's lost key men like Jota and Carl Starfelt and has brought in plenty of stars earmarked as future assets. But he will hope the likes of Nat Phillips and Luis Palma can hit the ground running instantly and Paulo Bernardo is in the fray after his September 1st loan from Benfica.

Michael Beale performed major surgery on his Rangers squad but he had a quiet deadline day after a summer revamp. Talk of Harry Souttar eventually amounted to little as they look ahead to derby day.

Barry Robson quickly put Europa League frustration behind him with the late window signing of Danish defender Stefan Gartenmann. And Anthony Stewart has again departed on loan.

No business was conducted by either Hearts or Hibs on the final day, with the only deal of note being a loan for Connor Smith to Scunthorpe from Tynecastle. Derek McInnes was up late though as Kilmarnock raced through an additional striker.

Stuart Kettlewell meanwhile added the final piece to his Motherwell squad to make it 11 in the door at Fir Park. Down south and deal sheet territory left some clubs sweating on whether or not they'd make their last-minute recruits reality.
