The road monitoring service Inrix reported shortly after midnight that the road is closed in both directions due to a police incident at the A48 Cowbridge Road (Culverhouse Cross). South Wales Police officers have set up diversions via the slip roads, and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Inrix said: "A4232 in both directions closed due to police incident at A48 Cowbridge Road (Culver House Cross). Diversion - via the slip roads."
