Man City summer signing Kalvin Phillips explains why he was ‘never’ going to join Man Utd

Manchester City summer signing Kalvin Phillips was ‘honoured’ to be linked with a move to Manchester United but insists he was ‘never’ going to join the Red Devils due to his ‘loyalty’ to Leeds United.

Phillips emerged as a target for both City and United following his impressive performances for Leeds and England, having played a starring role in the Three Lions’ run to the Euro 2020 final.

Phillips cannot wait to work with Guardiola at City, even though the Spanish manager could leave the Etihad next summer when
