5 Rangers transfer questions after Ibrox open training session from Sakala absence to Wright puzzler

The Rangers fans had another chance to see the tweaks that Michael Beale has made at the club during an open training session at Ibrox.

But while there have been several questions answered this summer so far in pre-season in terms of adjustments to the playing style and incoming players, those leaving Edmiston Drive after the glimpse of the Rangers stars will still have some questions weighing on their mind ahead of the first game of the Light Blues' first Scottish Premiership season against Kilmarnock. Summer recruits Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, Sam Lammers, Jack Butland, Abdallah Sima, Cyriel Dessers, Leon Balogun and Danilo got another taste of Ibrox in front of the fans before the serious stuff starts.

However, it could be those who were not there could offer more transfer clues. Beale dropped a hint that an incoming arrival was on the cards but refused to name the player - while the influx of signings this summer could see stars from last season forced onto the fringes of the squad.

A criticism of Rangers in pre-season has been their defence having shipped goals to Newcastle United, Olympiacos and Hoffenheim before the Scottish Premiership kick-off. Fingers have been pointed at Ben Davies with sections of the Ibrox support not won over by his debut campaign in light blue.
