Rangers squad revealed as 3 transfer questions to be answered while Jose Cifuentes joins engine room mix
It's been a packed summer for Michael Beale but it's now time for the Rangers recruits to make their mark against Kilmarnock to open their Scottish Premiership campaign.
The Ibrox boss has made nine signings over the summer window with Jack Butland, Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, Sam Lammers, Abdallah Sima, Cyriel Dessers, Danilo, Leon Balogun and Jose Cifuentes with a host of new faces set to make their competitive debut at Rugby Park. Ecuadorian international Cifuentes has already trained with his new teammates after jetting in this week - but Beale may hold fire on throwing him into the midfield engine room after confessing the LAFC recruit was jetlagged after the switch.
Connor Goldson is back available after injury and could be thrown straight into the starting XI with Ben Davies still sidelined. Ridvan Yilmaz will miss out on the opening day of the season after picking up a knock as he continues his luckless injury streak since arriving at Ibrox last summer, and Tom Lawrence is a doubt as he continues his recovery.
Fashion Sakala, Scott Wright and Glen Kamara appear to be edging closer to Ibrox exits. Missing out on the opening day squad would be another major clue that the trio are set to depart - with Sakala now in talks over a Saudi Pro League switch.
