Reeva Steenkamp was 29 years old when she was brutally murdered by her boyfriend, former Paralympian Oscar Pistorius. The much-loved model and activist was killed in the early hours of Valentine's Day 2013 at Pistorius' home in Pretoria, South Africa.
He shot her four times through a locked bathroom door, claiming he mistook her for an intruder. Pistorius was initially found guilty of culpable homicide - the equivalent of manslaughter in the UK.
He was sentenced to five years in 2014, which increased to 13 years and five months after when, a year later, South Africa's supreme court overturned the conviction and found him guilty of murder.
