This Morning viewers have shared their confusion after a segment teased at the beginning of the show never appeared on-screen.

Alison Hammond returned to the helm of the ITV daytime show on Wednesday (May 24) but had a new co-host. Craig Doyle was drafted in to host the programme alongside Alison in light of Phillip Schofield's exit.

The Irish presenter, who is best known as a presenter for BT Sport where he covers the Rugby Union and MotoGP, is no stranger to hosting the show having joined the growing list of presenters last year.

When kicking off the show, Alison and Craig ran through the 'menu' of what was coming up including the stars of Midsomer Murder Neil Dudgeon and Fiona Dolman who appeared live on the famous sofa, Phil Vickery who was out investigating the recent tomatoes shortage and Dave Fishwick, who had headed to the 'world's best B&B'. "I can't wait for that," Alison remarked at the time.
