Leeds United are set to let Scotland under-21 cap Stuart McKinstry leave on a free this summer. The winger is out of contract at Elland Road at the end of the season and is set to move on.
The 20-year-old is currently back on-loan at Motherwell. McKinstry is now going to consider his options and his next move, knowing he is now at an age where he needs to be playing regular first-team football.
That was a major factor in him leaving Leeds. McKinstry is already attracting interest from clubs in Scotland and England. Leeds signed McKinstry for £350,000 back in 2019.
He progressed through the Leeds ranks and was a regular in squads under Marcello Bielsa, who handed him his debut and gave him invaluable English Premier League experience.
