Former Manchester City star Sergio Aguero is reportedly seeking a £2.5 million payout from Barcelona - three years after his unexpected retirement from football.

The Argentine legend switched to the Spanish heavyweights in the summer of 2021 following his free transfer from Etihad Stadium.

However, in a brief stint with Barcelona, limited to merely five appearances and a single goal, Aguero's career suddenly stopped after he experienced chest pains during a game against Alaves—an incident later attributed to an arrhythmia.

After extensive medical reviews, Aguero declared his retirement at a press conference.
